How to Add or Link External Accounts

Transfer money to and from accounts at other financial institutions with ease.
 
Here's how to add and link external accounts:
 

Using the mobile app:

  1. Log in and select Transfers
  2. Click Transfer to other institutions by adding an external transfer account
  3. Select +Add External Account
  4. Enter the following information for the account you want to link:
    • Account name
    • Routing number
    • Account number
    • Account type (checking or savings)
  5. Tap Submit
  6. Within 48 hours, you will receive two small deposits to the external account from 1st United. Navigate back to Transfers, select the account you need to verify, enter the two deposits amounts, and tap Confirm.


Using a web browser:

  1. Log in and select Transfers
  2. Click on the External Account tab and tap the +Add External Account button
  3. Enter the following information for the account you want to link:
    • Account name
    • Routing no.
    • Account no.
    • Account type (Checking or Savings)
  4. Click Submit
  5. Within 48 hours, you will receive two small deposits to the external account from 1st United. Navigate back to Transfers, select the account you need to verify, enter the two deposits amounts, and tap Confirm.
