Supporting Our Community

For the ninth season, 1st United has served as the official sponsor of the Oakland A’s Homeruns for Hunger program. For every home run hit by the A’s during the regular season, we committed to donate $50 to the Alameda County Community Food Bank. This year’s donation amounted to $10,000 and will provide 189,000 meals to the local community.

“Our staff enjoyed following the Oakland A’s again this year, especially knowing that every home run they hit supports our community,” commented our Chief Executive Officer, Steve Stone. “Our hope is that our donation will go a long way in helping to fight hunger in Alameda County.”
To date, we have donated over $84,000 to the Alameda County Community Food Bank through Homeruns for Hunger. We hope to continue participating in years to come.
