We are sponsoring a school supply drive in support of Alternative Family Services and the Alameda County Family Justice Center. The goal this year is to collect enough supplies and backpacks for 300 students. Thank you to our members for helping us collect 267 backpacks last year.

Community members can participate by donating backpacks and school supplies for elementary, middle and high school students. Donations are appreciated through August 1, 2019 and can be dropped off at any one of 1st United’s eight branches.

Alternative Family Services (AFS) is a foster, adoptions and mental health agency that has been creating safe, permanent connections for foster children and youth in the Bay Area since 1978. 1st United has been proudly supporting AFS for many years.

Alameda County Family Justice Center’s mission is to ensure the safety, healing, and self-empowerment of victims of domestic violence and their children, of victims of sexual assault and exploitation, human trafficking, child abuse, stalking, and elder and dependent adult abuse through easily accessible, coordinated, comprehensive and culturally sensitive services.

Together we can make a difference.
